We are pleased to announce the first Gesundheit Humanitarian Clowning Tour in Bali, Indonesia!
We will be working with our sponsor, Yayasan SoleFamily, a humanitarian health-focused NGO based in Kuta, Bali.
Humanitarian clowning brings a fresh perspective to situations of suffering. Clowning is a way to connect with people and share love. It helps bring about a more compassionate world. Wearing a red nose nudges us to be spontaneous and improvise play. Clowns create joyful atmospheres which enhance the well-being of individuals and groups. The power of laughter is immeasurable.
While each clown’s visit is unique, collectively we will be spreading joy throughout Bali. We clowns enter any space with deference as we become aware of the mood of the people in the room or area. Often all that is needed is a friendly smile or a hand to hold. Clowns are not just silly. Each experience is a unique moment created by the clowns and the participants together. We look forward to building relationships with the people of Bali and spreading joy with the clowns.
Patch Adams will be joining us remotely for this trip, with online encouragement, inspiration, the big picture, and Q-and-A at several times during the week.
Rumah Daisy Cantik “Beautiful Daisy House” (RDC) is located in a quiet rural area in Kaba-Kaba, Tabanan northwest of the capitol, Denpasar. It is an area of splendor with the natural surroundings and feeling of “traditional Bali” with beautiful sunsets; a beautiful natural landscape with rice paddies all around. Six independent villas compromise the 5,150 square meters of land. There is a large meeting area (AC) with fully-equipped kitchen. The 20 square meter main pool is at the center of the property. A place to enjoy the natural surroundings, practice yoga / meditation or chat with fellow clowns.
Tabanan is the capital town of the regency of Bali and home to some of the most famous landmarks, including the stunning Jatiluwih rice terraces, the enchanting sea temple of Tanah Lot and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple (all places we will visit).
