OVER THE RAINBOW: Romania Clown Tour 2008 * October 19, 2008 - October 28, 2008

To walk toward suffering ... with a goofy costume and smiling eyes, to touch the lives of people who need it most - that's the calling of humanitarian clowning. We invite you to join the OVER THE RAINBOW: Romanian Clown Tour October 2008 to help bring that kind of care to hospitals, orphanages, and nursing homes, to children with HIV, to children and adults who live on the street.

No prior clowning experience is necessary - the tour itself will be a crash course in humanitarian clowning, led by seasoned Gesundheit clown care-givers. You will also have the opportunity to feel how care, love and learning about
people's lives are a two-way street - you receive care even as you give it.

We will be hosted by two Romanian organizations, "Bambini in Emergenza" in the city of Singureni and "Parada" in Bucharest. Throughout the tour we will live in our costumes and make the most of any opportunity to be publicly and lovingly playful.

The tour costs 1200 Euro, not including transportation. It goes from October 18 - 29, 2008. We will converge in Venice, Italy, and travel together from there by train. We ask that you warm up by traveling in costume from your home to Venice.

This tour promises to be life-changing for everyone involved, and your contribution will be unique. Please join us!
